For this church:
Bleasby St Mary
The War Memorial is located just inside the churchyard on the right hand side of the path leading from the Main Street to the South entrance of the church. Being only a few yards from the lychgate makes it the immediate focus of all who enter the site. It is cut from granite in the form of a Celtic cross rising from a four-sided tapered plinth of the same material. Two of the four panels of the plinth carry the names of those parishioners who gave their lives in two world wars.
The inscription on the front reads:
On the left-hand side of the base (as one faces it) is the inscription:
There is also a memorial to those who served to the First World War on the village hall, formerly the school.
