Chancel

Traceried panelled wooden reredos, c.1940.

The inscription running at the bottom of the reredos reads:

THIS REREDOS WAS ERECTED BY ELIZABETH JACKSON TO THE GLORY OF GOD AND IN GRATEFUL MEMORY OF HER SISTER LAVINIA JACKSON WHO DIED 15TH DECEMBER 1940

19th century brass altar rail.

A plaque recording the dedication of the brass candelabra in 1958:

On the south wall of the chancel is a marble tablet recording the dedication of the choir stalls to the memory of the Rev Henry Thomas Fountaine:

TO THE GLORY OF GOD
AND IN AFFECTIONATE MEMORY OF
HENRY THOMAS FOUNTAINE M.A.
CURATE OF BULWELL FROM 1874 TO 1880 WHOSE
FAITHFUL WORK FOR THE CHURCH OF CHRIST
IN THE PARISH CAN NEVER BE FORGOTTEN.
THE CHOIR STALLS IN THIS CHURCH WERE
DEDICATED MAY 15TH 1902.

Timber pulpit with decorative cross.

Wooden eagle lectern. Dedicated 28 April 1935.

Modern wooden lectern inscribed 'J. P. FEWKES.' Fewkes was vicar of Bulwell St John from 1981-1998.
