Cotgrave All Saints

Clock

View of the clock face in the Easter side of the towerExternal single dial, Roman figures. Finish matt dark red and at present gold painted. I gather it is envisaged to re finish with gold leaf at some time in the future.

The whole Church was damaged in 1996 and the clock somewhat fire damaged. Repaired 1997/98.

Clock was originally an 1865 Cope/Bosworth type clock, weight driven quarter chime converted by Smiths of Derby in 1967. Electrical driven chime and strike with auto wind on the going train.

At present both chime and strike hammers are removed, following re hanging bells and installation of 2 additional bells.
