Hoveringham St Michael

Clock

Clock over west
window

As part of the Millennium Year celebrations, the residents of Hoveringham installed a public clock over the west window of the church. It is approximately 34 inches (86.4 cm) in diameter, with gold painted roman numerals and hands. The face is dark blue. A cast brass plaque, also painted blue is mounted on the brickwork below the west window, acknowledging the clock’s origin. It reads:

THIS CLOCK WAS GIFTED BY
RESIDENTS AND FRIENDS
OF HOVERINGHAM DURING
THE MILLENNIUM YEAR
