Features and Fittings
The plain octagonal font dates from the 14th century. The font cover was presented by Enoch Bostock, a verger from 1887 to 1912.
The panelled square oak pulpit was placed in the church in 1906 by the parishioners in memory of the Rev. J. E. Phillips, vicar from 1879 to 1904.
The church contains three 'opus sectile' mosaic panels made by the stained-glass firm of James Powell & Sons. The panels were commissioned and funded by the Rev Canon J. H. Godber between 1897 and 1905.
Panel between the windows in the north aisle wall, showing angels with musical instruments (commissioned in 1897)
Panel at the west end of the north aisle wall, portraying the return of the Prodigal Son. Text on the scroll reads: “Father I have sinned against Heaven and before Thee.” (1898)
Panel above porch entrance door showing three angels holding a scroll that reads: “He shall give His Angels charge over thee to keep thee in all thy ways.” (1905)
Piscina and Sedilia
On the south side of the chancel are the 13th century piscina and sedilia with 20th century crest and surround. They were moved eastwards from their original position when the chancel was dismantled and rebuilt in 1887-8.
