Stonework

The church stone is limestone and sandstone. The north face of the tower has been repaired using a variety of different coloured sandstones. Ron Firman examined the stones in 2001 and identified material from Maplebeck, Laxton, and Eakring, indicating that most of the quarries were local but there is also evidence of Ancaster stone.
