Stapleford
St Andrew

Glass

A stained glass window was gifted to the church in 1949. It was given by Mr Neville Martin ‘in thanksgiving for personal mercies and for the preservation of St Andrew’s Church through the perils of war’ (1949 Parish Magazine). It was produced by Messrs Pope and Parr of Nottingham.

The central light depicts Christ, and to the right and left are Saints Andrew and Peter. Above these is a depiction of a fishing scene on the Sea of Galilee.

The window was removed when the building ceased to be an Anglican church and is now the west window of the north aisle of St. Helen's Church, Stapleford.
