Warsop Vale

Warsop Vale Mission Church

Newark Archdeaconry

Mansfield Deanery

Introduction

In 1902 Sir Richard Fitzherbert provided the small colliery village of Warsop Vale with a corrugated iron building for use as a Church of England Mission Church under the care of the church of St. Peter and St. Paul, Warsop. The building on the south side of Carter Lane was opened on Sunday 3 January 1903.

The church remained until about 1959/1960 when it is said to have blown down some time after it had been damaged by a fire.
