First World War

The Chancel Screen was erected as a War Memorial. There is a brass plaque on the wall to the south of the screen which reads:

The Chancel Screen was erected by Public Subscription
in Memory of the following Parishioners from Brinsley
who Laid down their Lives in the Great War

“Greater love hath no man than this,
that a man lay down his life for his friends!”

There is an additional memorial in the church for Cecil Smalley, whose name appears on the above list.

A small bronze plaque on the north wall of the sanctuary reads:
