Welbeck ChapelFeatures and Fittings
Pulpit – relatively plain, polished yellow marble, surmounted by a silver book stand in the form of a crowned bird. Designed by Wilson.
Altar Cross – by Wilson. Exhibited, together with the lectern and font, and possibly the light fittings, at the Arts and Crafts exhibition of 1893. Silver altar front installed 1900, emblazoned with a relief of the Adoration of the Shepherds, and surmounted by a cross and candlesticks designed by Wilson.
Bronze Gates – designed by Wilson, and executed by Pomeroy, 1909.
Lectern – by Wilson.
Chancel stalls – by Wilson.
Font – Baptistery screened off with entrance gates, of solid bronze cast in relief, by Wilson, executed by Pomeroy. Brass bowl and enamel panel by Henry Longden & Co., Sheffield. The inlay around the bowl by F Davidson. The inlaid symbols by P Wilson, and the sculpture by F W Pomeroy.
Seating – oak pews.
