Below the centre panel are the words: 'So he passed over, & all the Trumpets sounded for him on the other side.'
The Great East Window was the parishioners' war memorial gift 'in memory of the sons of West Bridgford who gave their lives unto the death in the Great War'. It was designed and executed by Herbert W Bryans, Esq, London and dedicated on Sunday, 20th November 1919, when it was unveiled by Mrs Heymann.
Next to the main memorial on the west wall is a First World War memorial which was originally part of a lectern used by the Boys' Brigade. The memorial was transferred to the church wall in 2002. It reads:
IN MEMORY OF
P. N. COOPER. LIEUT

DIED IN FRANCE. JULY 6TH 1916.
AGED 21 YEARS.
GIVEN BY HIS PARENTS IN
RECOGNITION OF THE BENEFIT

He received his commission in the Sherwoods on 31st January 1915 and proceeded to the front in the following December, being promoted to lieutenant on 4th February. He died in action on the Somme, aged twenty-one.
A plaque on the wall near the pulpit records that the pulpit and screen were given in memory of Edward Lake Flewitt. Flewitt lived with his parents on Musters Road and had been a member of the Officers Training Corps before enlisting in the army. He was gazetted 2nd lieutenant on 29th August 1917. The plaque reads:

In the churchyard is the grave of Albert Charles Lacey who succumbed to pneumonia during training at the start of the war. According to military records, he died on 11th October 1914 in hospital in Aldershot, having enlisted on 7th September from his home in Holme Road.
The headstone was erected by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission in 1974 and reads:

On the east wall of the George Chapel is a stained glass window commemorating the fallen of the Second World War, which was erected following fund-raising by the West Bridgford Branch of the British Legion. The dedication service was on Sunday, 5th February 1950.
At the bottom of the window is written, 'They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old. Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn. At the going down of the Sun and in the morning we will remember them. A.D. 1939 – 1945'
A Roll of Honour is to be found in a cabinet by the west wall of the church.

To the east of the Second World War memorial window in the George Chapel is a window 'In memory of Florence Mary Craddock who died 23rd February 1953 also her husband Albert John Craddock who died 12th December 1940 and also Roy Buckle their nephew killed in air operations 27th November 1943'.
Sergeant Roy Buckle was flight engineer on board a Halifax bomber which took off from Pocklington late on 25th November 1943 to bomb a target in Frankfurt. The following morning, the aircraft crashed at Warter Priory as it returned to Pocklington (not the 27th as stated on the window). Buckle died in the crash. He was just nineteen years old and, within ten days of commencing operational flights, had made three trips over Germany in a night bomber.
