Churchyard

The south-west corner of the churchyard from the tower

St Margaret’s church is set within a considerable open space; however, there is no evidence to suggest that burials ever took place at the church.

The north-western part of the original site is now occupied with two modern housing developments accessed by a wide tarmac driveway from Aspley Lane close by the church’s west entrance. This road also gives access to the car park. The north side now houses the Church Hall and Community Centre that are spaced well back from the church by the large car park. At the east end of the site another vehicle entrance provides access to another car part.
