The circular opening in the tower once housed the clock

A clock was supplied by G F Cope of Nottingham circa 1910-30 and was a motion works, weight driven clock with strike action. For many years it was not working and eventually for want of money it was removed. The circular orifice of the clock can be seen in the church tower.
