Sutton Bonington St MichaelWar Memorial
There is no war memorial outside the church but inside the church there is a brass memorial on the east wall of the south aisle, in memory of those from the parish who died in World War I. In front of the memorial is a folder containing the stories of those soldiers. A British Legion standard hangs above the memorial.
The memorial reads:
TO THE GLORY OF GOD
AND
IN PROUD AND LOVING MEMORY
OF
THOSE OF THIS PARISH
WHO LAID DOWN THEIR LIVES
IN THE GREAT WAR.
1914 – 1919.
