Chancel
The stained glass in the east window depicts the Four Evangelists, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. At their feet are symbols that are used to represent them: Matthew is represented by a winged man, Mark by a lion, Luke by an ox and John by an eagle.
The inscription at the bottom of the window reads:
THIS WINDOW WAS ERECTED IN MEMORY OF THE MEMBERS OF THE DUCKLE FAMILY WAS DAMAGED BY ENEMY ACTION MAY 1941 AND RESTORED IN 1947 |
The westernmost window in the south wall of the chancel was fitted with stained glass in 1873 and commemorates members of the Duckle family.
The inscription reads:
THIS WINDOW IS ERECTED BY THE TWO DAUGHTERS OF HENRY CHARLES AND MARY
ANNE JANE DUCKLE TO THE GLORY OF GOD AND IN AFFECTIONATE REMEMBRANCE
OF THEIR PARENTS AND OF THEIR UNCLE SAMUEL EDWARD BARKER DUCKLE AD 1871 |
South Aisle
The east window of the south aisle contains stained glass. The inscription at the bottom of the window reads:
To the Glory of God & in loving memory of Thomas Long. Ann Haselwood his wife and their sons and daughters |
