Bleasby St Mary

Clock

The clock The clock face

The clock was given by the son of Mr RV Kelham. (The Kelham family were Squires of Bleasby for over 100 years from the early 19th Century.) A plaque reads:

This Clock was Presented to
BLEASBY CHURCH
BY R.KELHAM ESQ.
OF BLEASBY HALL
July 12th 1892

It has one face, on the south side of the tower facing the main street. In recent years the mechanism has been electrified.

In August 2006, electrical power points and radial circuit for automatic clock wind were added, a purpose-built auto wind and strike unit for clock was installed, and the mechanism was fully serviced.
