Monument to Dorothy Parrott

Situated on the south wall of the nave between the two windows is a marble tablet on a slate slab. The memorial stone sits on a small plinth and is headed by a narrow cornice surmounted by a pair of scrolls. It reads:

Floor Stones

There are a number of burial markers in the chancel that can be read. Some slabs appear to extend under the choir stalls and others may exist beneath the area covered by the raised floor on which they rest. Not all the text on the slabs is readable, having been worn by decades of cleaning and footfall. Most of the stones are of red Mansfield Sandstone, York stone or similar material.

These, from the altar reading left to right and as far as can be distinguished, read as follows:

Now Outside

One significant memorial (to John Sheepshanke and Simon Sachell) was formerly inside the church but now lies in the churchyard.
