The old clock mechanism

The clock dial

Prior to 2015 there was a cage clock, no longer in use, suspended on a platform in the first floor of the tower. Although unmarked and undated, expert opinion by Smiths of Derby stylistically date this to c1890.

A new electronic clock was installed in 2015, the clock dial replaced, and an electromagnetic striking hammer was introduced to strike bell 4 (bell 6 following the augmentation).
