The five-light east window was made by C. E. Kempe of London and was the gift of Mrs Jones of Oaklands, in memory of her husband Samuel Jones.

It showed St Hugh (of Lincoln), The Virgin Mary, Christ Enthroned, St Gabriel, St George, St Etheldreda, St Peter, St Michael, St Stephen and St Cecilia. The window was dedicated at the morning service on Sunday, 3 November 1905.

The inscription at the bottom right-hand corner of the window read:

To the Glory of God and in Memory of Samuel Jones some-
time Town Clerk of East Retford, born 16th August 1831
died 29th March 1902

Samuel Jones was also a churchwarden of Ordsall church from 1874 to 1885.

The stained glass window was dedicated to the memory of Mrs Ethel Harrison, a worker for St. Alban's church for many years, who died in 1976.

The window depicts Dorcas, the needlewoman, who was 'full of good works and alms deeds that she did', who Peter raised from the dead in Joppa.

A dedication service for the window led by Canon David Rutter, Precentor of Lincoln Cathedral and Master Governor of Trinity Hospital Retford, was held on 11 June 1978.
