Hung in cast-iron H frame, the whole installation is by Taylors dating from 1893. Taylors 1894 catalogue notes that the ring was ‘the gift of his Grace the Duke of Portland’.

The old four, which were recast, were in a sorry state, with all bells being cracked. Rubbings of these bells are to be found in the library of the Society of Antiquaries. Details were as follows:

These bells were the work of George I Oldfield and Paul Hutton at the Nottingham foundry.

The Taylor estimate for the restoration survives, being for £167 10s for recasting and £245 15s for a new ring of six bells.
