The clock replaces an older one, and was installed to commemorate the Jubilee
of Queen Victoria. A brass plate on the door of the clock is inscribed as follows:
|This Church clock was erected as a Jubilee Memorial 1887-8. It was
proposed and the Subscriptions commenced by Mrs Hodgkinson, her son G.J.S.
Hodgkinson C.S.I. heading the list. The remainder was raised through
the exertions of her daughter Esther Hodgkinson, the West Face being
given by Henry Blagg.
