Chancel
There are several memorial plaques on the north wall of the chancel.

There is a small copper plate above the north end of the altar rail which commemorates the Revd Richard Colbrand, whose incumbency lasted for all of the first half of the 17th century. The inscription reads:

The parliamentary inspectors, in 1650, described him as ‘too old to reform’, which was confirmed after his death in 1653 by the use of Latin on his memorial.
He is mentioned in an inquisition on lands held by bishop dated 1650:
Also the rectory or parsonage of Broughton which is worth one hundred pounds per annum. Sir Gervaise Clifton knight and baronet the now patron thereof. Richard Colebrand sen(?) clerke the present incumbent who has the cure of souls there and receives(?) the p… (?) thereof to his own (use)? and being disabled through old age to reform the cure in his owne person doth have (?) Edward ??? clerke to officiate the said cure who has twentie(?) pounds a year and his diet(?) for his salary and preacheth twice every lords day.
Below the north chancel window is a slate plaque to John Knox (died 1967):

There is a small memorial on a brass plate to the Revd Joseph Burrill (died 1853) and his wife, Lucinda, in the south window of the sanctuary.
There is also an epitaph to Lucinda Burrill, who died on 4 June 1839, on a marble plaque on the south wall of the chancel. Mr Burrill had been a schoolmaster and registrar of the Peculiar of Masham, Yorks, at which time he employed a curate to look after the parish. After his retirement from teaching he took on the living himself. The inscription states:

Nave
At the east end of the south nave wall is a monument to Thomas Brett (died 1822) and his mother, Hannah, who died in 1826:

I am not really Dead but Sleeping here

In the middle of the south wall is a monument to William Brett who died in 1850 aged 77:

FOR BY GRACE ARE YE SAVED THROUGH FAITH, AND
THAT NOT OF YOURSELVES, IT IS THE GIFT OF GOD.

The tablet is signed 'JOHNSON, MELTON.'
Next to the south door there is a plaque commemorating solicitor Harold Kentish Wright who was also Captain of the 8th Battalion (Carlton Company) Sherwood Foresters. The inscription reads:

At the west end of the south wall is a marble tablet to Samuel Wright:

North Aisle
There are various memorials to members of the Brett family, both on the walls and on the floor of the north aisle. This family was prominent in village affairs from the 14th century until the end of the 19th century, when they emigrated to New Zealand.
At the eastern end of the north aisle are two memorials to John Brett and his wife, Elizabeth.
John Brett (died 1788):

He died January 29th 1788 ;
Aged 43 Years.
From earthly Palaces we must remove,
The narrow lodging of a grave to preve.

Life to be paid upon demand we owe. |
The monument is signed 'W. Barnes, Sculpsit.'
Adjacent is the monument to his wife Elizabeth, who died in 1823:
