4The Rolleston Window
In memory of Lancelot Rolleston KCB, DSO 1848-1941 and his wife Emma Maude
Charlotte. It was dedicated in 1960 and incorporates pieces of glass taken
from Watnall Hall, the Rolleston family home prior to it being demolished.

6The
Diocesan Window
This window contains the arms of York, Lincoln and Southwell and depictions
of the Minsters and represents the three diocese in which St Mary’s
has figured. This window is also by H. T. Hincks.
7The
East Window
This is the War Memorial window and contains the badges of the three Services
as well as a depiction of Christ, St Nicholas, St Michael and St George.
It is dedicated to those from Greasley who died in the 1939-45 war.
8There is a small
round coloured window high in the peak of the East end of the Nave not
easily seen. It is suggested it was placed there during the 1896 rebuild
of the church, but no other information can be found.
9The
Good Shepherd Window
This is another by Michael Stokes and was dedicated on March 24th, 1991.
It is in memory of Jefferey Whitham and given by his wife in recognition
of the support and comfort she received from the church when her husband
died. The only indication of his name is his initials. The window contains
representations of a cup and saucer and the Mothers’
Union symbol as well as golf and an anchor.
The remaining windows contain no coloured glass.
(Please note that several of these windows do not show up
well in photographs because of the proximity of large trees, etc.)
