Monuments and Memorials

St. Lawrence’s church has very few memorials dedicated to its parishioners and clergy, except those remembered by the gift of fixtures and fittings throughout the church and the names of the fallen of the two World Wars. The former are recorded in the fixtures and fittings section. There is a brass plate close to the altar which reads:

To the Glory of God and in loving Memory of
Henrietta Mabbott
who died April 20th 1924
Presented to St. Lawrence’s Church
by her sister
Isabella Seneschall

On the book rest in front of the right hand seats is a small brass plate reading:

James William Wood
