Chancel
On the south side of the sanctuary are several ledger stones. Two are readable except for parts of one. The inscriptions are:

LIFE MAY 11TH 1711 |
Beside it and partly obscured by the altar:
HERE LYETH THE BODY OF
ELIZABETH WIFE OF
WILLIAM COLTON OF NORTH
LEAVERTON (sic) WHO DEPARTED
THIS LIFE FEBRUARY -----
IN THE YE------

Other small sections of ledger stone are discernible at the side of the altar and choir stalls but with little or nothing of their texts showing.
On the north wall of the chancel are two identical stones bearing the image of a sarcophagus surmounted by an urn and with a wreath below, all commemorating members of the Rogers family.
On the north wall (most easterly):

North Wall
A bronze memorial with badly faded gold paint between windows 11 and 12 is only just decipherable. The text is surmounted by a cross and in each corner the symbols for alpha and omega. It reads:
TO THE GLORY OF GOD
AND
IN LOVING MEMORY OF
THOMAS TICKELL
VICAR OF THIS PARISH
FOR
16 YEARS
CALLED
SUDDENLY TO HIS REST
ON ST MATTHEWS DAY 1886
AGED 58 YEARS
BURIED AT LECKHAMPTON
SEPT. 24TH
IN THE MIDST OF LIFE WE ARE IN DEATH |
The Rev. T. Tickell was a very generous incumbent who contributed freely to the costs of the church restoration and other amenities, including the village’s first school.
Another memorial plate affixed to a window sill reads:
TO THE GLORY OF GOD
AND
IN LOVING MEMORY OF
MARY ANN BAILEY
BLESSED BE GOD, EVEN THE FATHER OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST
THE FATHER OF MERCIES, AND THE GOD OF ALL COMFORT,
WHO COMFORTETH US IN ALL OUR TRIBULATIONS, THAT WE MAY
BE ABLE TO COMFORT THEM WHICH ARE IN TROUBLE BY THE
COMFORT WHEREWITH WE OURSELVES ARE COMFORTED OF GOD
FOR AS THE SUFFERINGS OF CHRIST ABOUND IN US, SO OUR,
CONSOLATION ALSO ABOUNDETH BY CHRIST.
