Within the churches densely populated parish it would be expected that there was a number of casualties who did not return from the 1914-1918 and 1939-1945 wars. The only record found refers to a War Memorial Cross, with no further details. When St. Michael’s was demolished it was transferred to the church of St. John the Baptist in Carlton, Nottingham.
