East window

The east window depicts the Crucifixion flanked by the figures of St George, Mary, St John and St Nicholas. It commemorates the men of Rampton who died in the First World War. The inscription along the bottom of the window reads:

DEDICATED TO THE GLORY OF GOD AND IN MEMORY OF THE RAMPTON
MEN WHO FELL IN THE GREAT WAR 1914-1919

A brass plaque nearby states:

TO THE GLORY OF GOD & IN MEMORY
OF THE RAMPTON MEN, WHO GAVE
1914 THEIR LIVES FOR THEIR COUNTRY 1918
THE EAST WINDOW & THE MEMORIAL
TABLETS IN THE WEST END & THE CHAPEL
WERE GIVEN BY THE PARISHIONERS.

North Aisle

Lady Chapel
window

The only other stained glass window is the one in the east wall of the Lady Chapel. The window is dedicated to Inez Dulcie Ellis, only daughter of Sir Charles and Lady Ellis of Rampton Manor, and dates from 1924. It shows Mary and Jesus and two kneeling angel children on either side, one holding lilies and the other with head bowed in prayer. The inscription along the bottom reads:

To the Glory of God
and in loving remembrance

of Inez Dulcie Ellis
this window is dedicated

by the Guild of S. Mary
and other friends. 1924

The window is signed 'Fecit M Thompson.' Miss Thompson was a friend of Inez Ellis.
