1.

Memorial to J C Tylden Pattenson BA, Rector. Shows Mary’s parents, Anne in the left panel and Joachim in the right. Top centre panel shows the sun superimposed onto a triangle. All surrounded with oak leaves and vines and no captions.

A brass plaque beneath the window reads:

AD DEI GLORIAM ET IN MEMORIAM J.C. TYLDER PATTENSON B.A.
HUIUS PAROCHIAE OLIM RECTOR A.D. 1855 PER TENEBRAS AD LUCEM

'Par Tenebras ad Lucem' translates as 'through darkness to light'.

Left panel shows the risen Lord and the right panel shows an angel by the open sepulchre while the guards sleep.

Window to William Paget and Ann, his wife, from their children, c1885.

A splendid window of Jesus on the cross, surmounted with a dove and angels, figures from the life of Christ, a skull suggesting death, below nails for the cross the crown of thorns and the monogram of Christ. INRL for Iesus Nazarenus Rex Indacorum, translates to Jesus of Nazereth, King of the Jews, this also appears above the crucifixion. The backing panel has the inscription HIS which translates to 'Jesus' or 'Jesus Saviour of Mankind.' Other symbolic emblems surround the panels with attendants from the life of Christ. Figures either side of the cross are from left to right: Mary the wife of Cleopas, Mary Magdalene, Mary Jesus’ mother, St John, the soldier who recognized Jesus and Joseph of Arimathea. Inscribed ‘Consummatum est' (it is finished).

The window reputedly made by Burlison and Grylls.

A brass plaque beneath the window reads:

6.The window shows Jesus’ mother Mary (left) and her mother Anne (right) to whom the church is dedicated.

The inscription reads:

IN MEMORY OF THOMAS DALBY
WHO DIED APRIL 16TH 1816
AND OF HIS WIFE
WHO DIED DECEMBR 4TH 1840

Nave

Depicts St Barnabas and Saint Matthew, surmounted with gold chalice or cup.

The inscription reads:

To the Glory of God and in memory
of Edward Stuart Taylor M.A. for 27 years
Rector of this parish Erected by his
parishioners and friends AD 1903

The window is surmounted by a Cross Anchor of Hope set in a rope circle, with each side upper and lower panels decorated with an equilateral triangle denoting the equality of the Trinity, with an interwoven triangle forming the six sided star of David. Below the upper section is a frieze of oak leaves.

The picture is of Jesus walking on the water and encouraging Peter to walk towards him with the text 'Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee upon the water'.

The inscription reads:

Dedicated to the glory of God & in memory
of Admiral Sir William King-Hall, K.C.B
Born March 11th 1816, Died July 29th 1886
by his widow Charlotte King-Hall.

Centre panel shows an angel holding a scroll which together with other reads 'I have loved thee with an everlasting love'. Around the figure in the left panel are the words 'See that ye love' and the text is completed around the figure in the right hand panel 'one another'. The left upper light has a cup for the Eucharist with the words 'God is' and the right upper light has a heart and the word 'Love' which completes the third text. An angel’s head adorns the top panel.

The inscription reads:

North Aisle

10.Three light window, each fitted with an angel holding a scroll with the words 'Holy'.

The window depicts Hannah bringing the boy Samuel to the High Priest, Eli, at the temple with the caption 'As long as he shall liveth he shall be lent to the Lord', surmounted by an angel with lyre.

12.Depicts Sanctus Jacobus and Sanctus Joannes (St James with book and St John with wine goblet) surmounted with an angel with a mandolin. The inscription reads:

E.S.T Frata dilectus Fratri dilectissimo 1892, W.C.T.

'Frata dilectus Fratri dilectissimo' translates as 'the beloved disciple, most favoured of the disciples'.

13.An Early English two light. A memorial window to the wife of William H. Brace and daughter of William Paget who died in 1865 and her daughter who died later the same year. The left light has a mother with babe and an infant, underwritten is the word 'Charity'. The right shows Christ carrying a cross and below is the word 'Faith'. The upper sections of both panels are decorated with vines, below the whole is the phrase 'Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God'.

A brass plaque beneath the window reads:

IN MEMORY OF MARIA WIFE OF WILLIAM H. BRACE DAUGHTER OF WILLIAM PAGET.
DIED APRIL 4 1865 ALSO OF HER INFANT DAUGHTER FRANCES ALICE DIED OCTR 24 1865.

Vestry

The vestry windows are leaded with plain glass.
