Glass

Former west window
now in St Augustine’s
Church, Mansfield

The only stained glass was the large round-headed west window which was a representation of the Resurrection. This was presented by Mr and Mrs C M Heathcote in memory of their son George Cyril Michael Heathcote. It was unusual in that Christ is portrayed with his left hand raised rather than the usual right hand.

The main section of this window was moved to St Augustine’s, Mansfield, where it was installed in 1991 and dedicated to Ronald Hartshorn (1917-90), sometime churchwarden of St Augustine’s.
