Worksop St Anne

War Memorial

Outside the churchyard to the north, on a small triangular piece of land, is a hexagonal stone cross, set on a three tier plinth, the upper part buttressed, commemorating the men of the parish who died in the First and Second World Wars. The names of the Fallen are inscribed on bronze plaques affixed to the base of the cross.

The war memorial was unveiled on 7th March 1920 by Sir John Robinson and was dedicated by The Right Reverend Edwyn Hoskyns, Bishop of Southwell.
