On the sill of the south east chancel window is a brass plate inscription to John Danby, 1400, with two evangelistic symbols, representing St Matthew and St Luke, engrained at each end. It was donated in gratitude for Danby’s contribution to endowing the vicarage. The inscription reads There are also plaques commemorating the donation of the Calvary Group and the sanctuary lamp by the Glassford family, with inscriptions as follows: |
