Chilwell Christ ChurchWar Memorial
The
war memorial is of modest size and is positioned in the nave of the church
on the north wall. It consists of two brass plaques on a wooden mount. The
mount is headed “WE WILL REMEMBER THEM” -
engraved in the wood. The left-hand brass plaque, for the First World War,
reads:
IN MEMORY OF THE MEN OF CHILWELL
WHO DIED FOR THEIR COUNTRY
IN THE WAR 1914-1918.
