This is a plaque on the north wall.
It carries seven names and reads:
IN GRATEFUL REMEMBRANCE OF MEN OF THIS PARISH PTE.B.BLOCKLEY, R.A.O.C. THEY GAVE THEIR LIVES THAT WE MIGHT BE FREE |
There is a further plaque on the north wall which reads:

Memorial outside the church |
Just outside the church gate is a new white stone obelisk-style memorial which again is dedicated to those who have been killed in all conflicts. It was erected in 2010. On the front (west side) it carries the well-known words from Laurence Binyon’s For the Fallen:
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will remember them |
On the left (north) side is the Kohima Epitaph:
When You Go Home, Tell Them Of Us And Say For Their Tomorrow, We Gave Our Today |
The right (south) side carries the words:
In Grateful Remembrance of the people of Colwick who gave their lives in times of conflict so others may live in peace. |
