Elkesley St GilesWar Memorial
The war memorial comprises two plaques set one above the other on the south wall of the nave at the west end. The upper panel is of bronze and is a memorial to the Fallen of the First World War with inlaid decorative borders of oak leaves and acorns, and reads:
To the Glory of GOD
This Tablet commemorates
the Dedication of the Clock
erected by the Parishioners
in this Church Tower in
memory of the fallen who
gave their lives
in the Great War 1914-1918
