With the closure of the Farndon Methodist Church for worship, the PCC of Farndon Church undertook to provide a home for the Methodist war memorial which was duly attached to the north wall of the church to the right of the 11th century door. The two memorials are not identical in the names listed, partly due to the fact that the Methodist version was produced somewhat earlier than the Anglican version which was not consecrated until the latter part of 1920. Inscription on the Methodist war memorial reads as follows:

FOR GOD, FOR KING, FOR EMPIRE
IN MEMORIAM 1914-1919
