There are six bells. The wooden frame, a compound structure mainly comprising Elphick V and W braces (Pickford types 6B and 6D) but also intersecting X braces (Pickford type 6I) at the east end, probably dates from the restoration in 1860. The bells were re-hung on metal head stocks and ball bearings by Taylors of Loughborough in 1956.
The second bell was by Immanuel Halton of South Wingfield in 1721. The bell was cast without canons as he ran short of metal! An agreement was reached at the time that if it ever broke because of a lack of canons he would re-cast it free of charge.
