Misson St John the BaptistList of Incumbents
The church of Misson was given to the Gilbertine priory of Mattersey at its foundation c. 1185 and Misson remained a rectory until 1349 when it was appropriated to Mattersey and a vicarage was ordained 1349. At the dissolution of the priory the advowson was retained by the Crown who presented vicars until 1958 when the patronage passed to the bishop of Southwell by exchange.
