The east window1The East window designed by Charles Kempe is considered one of his finest works. It is made up of three main lights and a number of small tracery lights; the three main lights depicting, north to south:

St Peter

2Chancel south wall, four single windows:

These four lancet windows designed by Charles Kempe and bearing his wheatsheaf insignia were installed between 1897 and 1905, gradually replacing the small-paned clear glass of Ewan Christian’s alterations c1877-8. (The four windows on the north side of the chancel remain from the 1877-8 period). They depict, west to east:

Three panels of coloured glass designed by Alexander Gascoyne of Nottingham. His insignia of golden lion, winged and nimbed, with bible between front paws, can be seen in the bottom left hand corner. Reading north to south the panels depict:
