A clock has existed since the mid-18th century, as evidenced by a clock plate inscribed 'Hutchinson, Worksop, Fecit 1753.'
The clock is a turret mechanism with going and striking trains, located in the south tower, and a plaque attached reads:
ANNO DOMINI 1972
RESTORED
BY
GRAHAM
LOVE
WORKSOP |
The clock tower bell is modern, as detailed by a memorial in the south aisle which reads:
IN GRATEFUL MEMORY
OF
HARRY RICHARDSON
1921-1971
CHURCHWARDEN
the clock tower bell was installed
by his family and friends
in 1972 |
A further memorial, adjacent, attests to the later renovation of the clock:
The Tower Clock Was Restored
And Automated In 2013
IN LOVING MEMORY
