Clock mechanism

The clock was made by Sharpe of Retford. The exterior dial on the south side is inscribed:

The original mechanism survives, with both going and striking trains, but has evidently been altered several times with part inscribed 'W Cope 1909'. Smiths of Derby installed an autowinding unit in 1983, and a further auto correction device has been added since.
