Bilborough St MartinBells
The bell is hung for full-circle ringing in a wooden frame (Type Z). It was cast by John Taylor & Sons of Loughborough in 1888 and has a diameter of 27.75" and weighs 4.1.18 cwt.
William Phillimore W. Stiff visited the church in around 1872 and described the previous bell, observing that:
'[The church] can boast but one bell, from which, being awkwardly hung, I could only obtain a portion of the inscription—

It was cracked so was replaced in 1888. Dawson (1995) is of the opinion that 'it was almost certainly the work of William Noone.'
The Inventory of Church Goods (1552) records 'fyrst in the stelpe one bell.'
