on the 22 of February 1839.
Aged 76 Years.

OF THE REVD THOS WAKEFIELD,
WHO WAS VICAR OF THIS PARISH 48 YEARS,
AND OF STRUBBY IN LINCOLNSHIRE 60 YEARS,
HE DIED 25TH MAY, 1798, AGED 85:
ALSO OF ANN, WIFE OF THE
ABOVE REVD THOS WAKEFIELD,
WHO DIED 13TH NOVR 1770, AGED 55 YEARS:
LIKEWISE OF GEORGE THEIR SON,
WHO DIED 7TH DECR 1754, AGED 9 YEARS.

THIS MONUMENT IS ERECTED
AS A TESTIMONY OF AFFECTION
BY THEIR ONLY SURVIVING SON
GEORGE WAKEFIELD.

And Gerard Chilton Bailey,M.A. Vicar of Dundee
Natal, South Africa, and Chaplain to her Majesty's Forces there
Who died at Dundee on 30 November, 1900, aged 38 years.
Sons of the Vicar of this Parish.

WHO WAS BORN AT STOKE ON JANUARY 4TH 1874,
AND DIED ON MAY 13TH 1906, AT SPRINGFIELD, ST CHRISTOPHER
IN THE PRESIDENCY OF ST CHRISTOPHER AND NEVIS,
WHERE HE ADMINISTERED THE GOVERNMENT
FROM THE 27TH OCTOBER 1904, TO THE DAY OF HIS DEATH.

THIS TABLET WAS ERECTED BY THE PEOPLE
AMONGST WHOM HE LIVED IN THE LEEWARD ISLANDS
AS A SLIGHT RECOGNITION OF HIS GREAT ABILITY
AND HIS EARNEST EFFORTS FOR THE WELFARE
OF ALL CLASSES IN THE ABOVE PRESIDENCY.

and diligence acquired a consider-
able Estate, sufficient to support
him in those high and honourable

charge thereof departed this
life the 25th day of April 1729
in the 69th year of his Age.

She was full of virtue, loyalty
and Charity to ye poor.

Here also lieth ye body of Mary ye
Daughter of ye afforesd Richard and
Elizabeth; She died ye 26th day of
July 1692, in ye 2d Year of her Age

Sacred to the Memory of
SIR GEORGE SMITH BART
of Nottingham, and of Stoke Hall; 
who died Sept 5th 1769, Aged 55.

And of MARY his first Wife,
Daughter and sole Heiress of WILLIAM HOWE Esqr
who died May 18th 1761, Aged 35. By whom he had Issue,
HOWE, born June 26th 1749.
MARY, born May 3d 1751,
JANE, born July 27th 1760.
Who all died in their infancy, and lie interr’d in the Vault
underneath this Monument, with their Father and Mother.

GEORGE, (their only surviving Child) caused this Monument
to be erected as a testimony of his effectionate Regard
for his deceased Parents.
