Until 1991 bells 5, 6, 7 and 8 were mounted in a wooden, type Z, frame inscribed “J. W. and I. Blatherwicks Sons, September 28th 1840". Bells 1, 2 , 3 and 4 were mounted in a steel frame installed above it.
All eight were moved to a new steel frame lower in the tower in 1991. The two earlier frames remain in the belfry.
