Clock dial Clock mechanism

The church has a large three-dial clock with faces on the north, south and west elevations of the tower. It is housed on the third floor of the tower. Each of the faces is identical, having a dark metal outer chapter ring with a double narrow inner gold ring with small segments that are not accurately divided into minutes. The numerals are of traditional Roman design. The clock face is of opaque white glass.

The clock was made by G & F Cope & Co. of Nottingham in 1950.

A plaque on the interior wall of the tower records the gift of the clock in 1950:

THIS TABLET IS PLACED HERE TO RECORD
WITH THANKSGIVING THE GIFT OF A NEW
CLOCK BY THE LORD MAYOR, ALDERMEN,
COUNCILLORS AND CITIZENS OF
NOTTINGHAM TO THE PEOPLE OF LENTON
IN THE YEAR ONE THOUSAND, NINE
HUNDRED AND FIFTY.

The original tower clock was made by Samuel Holland of Barker gate, Nottingham, and was installed in February 1844.
