Lenton Holy Trinity

Organ

The organ is by Brindley and Foster of Sheffield and dates from 1906.

It is a two-manual instrument containing 26 stops and was gifted by W. G. Player.

There are two plaques on the console case:

IN MEMORY OF
MARJORIES FRANCES FOSTER
AGE 20. DIED 29TH MAY 1949.
THIS ORGAN WAS RENOVATED AS A
GIFT TO THE CHURCH BY HER
MOTHER IN 1950.

IN MEMORY OF
FRED HARVEY
ORGANIST & CHOIRMASTER OF
THIS CHURCH FROM 1883 – 1919
TWO STOPS WERE ADDED TO THIS
ORGAN BY HIS WIDOW IN 1950

The original organ was made by Bevington and Sons of London. The opening service was held on 22 October 1846 with Henry Bevington, Organist to King's College London, presiding at the organ.
