Stonework

Principally built of hard limestone, probably from Lincolnshire, with coursed and counterpitched rubble. The walls include occasional pieces of Roman tile and some brick, also possibly Roman. The later window dressings are of a hard, yellow ashlar, and the vestry of 1900 to the north is built of hard-fired red and yellow brick laid to English Garden Wall bond.
