Milton All Saints (Mausoleum)
War Memorial
There are no war memorials at the mausoleum.
However, there is a Stone of Remembrance in the churchyard to the crew of a Lancaster Bomber who died when their plane crashed nearby while returning from a bombing raid over Berlin in 1943. It was unveiled in November 2012.
The inscription reads:
PER ARDUA AD ASTRA
AVRO Lancaster DV334
In memory of the brave men
who died in an aircraft crash
near to this site whilst serving
their country on 3rd December 1943
