The organ at the
west end of the
gallery |
The organ console is situated at the west end of the church in the Jacobean gallery, with the pipes behind it. There had been an older organ, operated by a pump, which was donated by Lady Carnarvon. The pipe organ was installed during the 1930s. It is a two-manual.
A label on the console reads:
J HOUSLEY ADKINS
ORGAN BUILDER
DERBY |
Just above the keyboard is a brass plaque inscribed:
THIS ORGAN WAS REBUILT
IN MEMORY OF THE LATE
REV G. E. EATON
AND WAS DEDICATED BY
THE BISHOP OF SOUTHWELL
ON JAN 26TH 1939 |
