The east window of the chancel is unusual in its design. The head of the window contains a royal crown in the apex, the Garter motto (twice) and the Royal arms of Queen Victoria, with a mitre on either side. Beneath are the texts of the Lord’s Prayer, Creed and Benediction and below are three scenes of Corporal Works of Mercy.

It may be by Clayton & Bell and dates from third quarter of the nineteenth century.

The inscription at the foot of the window reads:

Ad DEI Gloriam et in memoriam Susanna Davis obiit November 3 A.D. 1872.

Susannah Davies, widow, was Lady of the Manor of Tollerton for 25 years and lived at Roclaveston Manor House. She was formerly of Wrexham, Denbighshire, and died 3 November, 1872, in her 89th year.

Rev. A. A. & B. S. Welby,
