Chancel

North Wall

Nicholas Lodge, d. 1612, son of Thomas Lodge, Lord Mayor of London 1563, and Lord of the Manor of Rolleston. Brother of Thomas Lodge, poet, dramatist and prose writer, who is best remembered for the prose romance Rosalynde, the source of William Shakespeare’s As You Like It.

GEORGE JALLAND who died 29 June 1810 aged 45 years also of ROBERT his son who died in his infancy. Also ELIZABETH PHILLIPS JALLAND Daughter of the above GEORGE JALLAND who died November 26th 1836 aged 31 years

Memorial to John Twentiman, vicar 1687-1705, at the west end of the south aisle:

Who by the Doctrine that he taught,
 the Example that he set, and the Advice
that he gave both in publick and private,
hath approved himself a true Member
of the Church of England, an hearty Advo:
cate of Religion, a faithful Minister of
Jesus Christ, & a sincere Wellwisher to the
whole Race of Mankind, after a life of
strict Piety toward God, & of true Honesty
 & Justice towards Men, resigned up his
Soul to GOD on the 13th of Novr 1705
in the 45 year of his Age.
Elizabeth Twentiman his Relict
after having continued 39 years his
Widow,  departed this life the
12th of February 1745 aged 81 years.
